The Bentley company story began in England in 1912, when brothers H.M. Bentley and W.O. Bentley joined forces to create a line of lightweight, dependable race cars. After World War I, they designed a pioneering 3-liter engine, and by the 1920’s, they created the first Bentley and made their first sale. Rolls-Royce purchased Bentley during the Great Depression. In the next decade, W.O. produced some of his best-performing cars and engines yet – precursors to several Bentley car models available as rentals through Los Angeles Prestige.

During the 1980’s, Bentley produced several models designed distinguish the brand from Rolls-Royce. By the end of the decade, Bentley outsold Rolls-Royce two-to-one. Volkswagen purchased Bentley in 1998, and, in the following decade, Bentley produced a number of stunning models – including the Continental Flying Spur, and Azure. To date, Bentley remains one of the most well-regarded luxury car producers in England and abroad.
